Well I mentioned in an earlier thread of downloading from the exchange and I couldn't enter lots.I got that problem fixed but now there is an even bigger problem!Now when I moved a family of three sims into a house the three sims were killed before I even saw them moved into the house you know in front of the house I see the grim reaper and ashes plus a grave and i'm like,WHAT!I mean how could this happen.I know one thing-I am never downloading any lots from exchange!
Anyone want to help out with this problem?

I already offered a few tips in my post in your other thread.  :angel:  Have you tried downloading and running the Hack Conflict Detection Utility like I suggested before?  That might help a bit in finding out what the problem is.  (check back in the other thread for the link.   )

If that doesn't work, then go into your Logs folder and attach your game's recent error log to your next post.  I'm sure the experts will be able to figure it out.  :smile bi:

Did you try to remove your downloads folder completely to see if without it this would still happen?

If not, for sure something in it is causing the problem.

I scanned it and nothing involving something I downloaded but it did have the following-
Inteen downloaded files
ME_EnergizerPainting

When I entered the lot I pressed delete each time something popped up before I saw the sims or the house and I think thats another thing.

ShiningStarSim - I vaguely remember a bug report or trouble ticket about this happening.  It was some crazy Seasons thing if I remember, the sims over-heat and go up in flames like spontaneous human combustion (another sick disaffected humour intrusion from the retards in the dvelopment team)

If you are using a custom CAS, this may be the cause. if you are, dump it at once.

If you don't have Seasons installed, I am not sure what the problem would be.

Don't have seasons and no custom CAS.I'm going to work on some theory's and test 'em out and see if I can find the bug.Probably i'll find the answer soon.

Well you should still remove totally your downloads too at least know if it is mod or cc related or not.

The sim could be corrupted.

Well they all kept dieing so before one of the sims died I had her add some neighbors to the family and they all died so I just exited the game without saving like I always do since the sim dieing's.I'm going to do what Tenshii~Akari said to do since only one of the things she said I haven't tried-looking at my log in the sims2 folder.Everything else I tried failed but I can't find my latest log can someone help me find the most recent error log?

Open the Logs folder, then right-click and choose to arrange icons by modified.  It's going to be the latest text file.

the important data in all this Invalid constant something in your game is corrupt - if you have NL and did not install the update, then I suspect your sims are getting flagged as vampires - this would be a result of a corrupted Objects.package.

Try extracting extracting the objects.package for NL from the giant ZIP on the instalation media:

compressed.zip

inside that file you should find a rudimentary directory structure:

Step 1.

Open the TSDATA folder in the ZIP file

Step 2.

Open the RES folder in the ZIP file

Step 3.

Open the OBJECTS folder in the ZIP file

Step 4.

Extract the OBJECTS.PACKAGE from the ZIP file

Extract the file and replace the file with the same name here:

C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\The Sims 2 Nightlife\TSData\Res\Objects
-or whatever your normal programs install drive may be

The immediately update the game with the NL update from here: http://thesims2.ea.com/update

Hopefully this will resolve the issue, if not - it may be easier to just re-install everything and start over

You have to view the content on the Nightlife CD.  (My Computer => right-click your CD drive icon and select Open.  You should see the compressed.zip file.)  :angel:

And a small observation... the date on the log says March 2... :scratch:  I think I'm at fault for this one, now that I'm reading my other post.  Throw bricks at me if ya want to... :oops:  

Instead of arranging the icons by "modified", arrange them by "created"... (If it's not available when you right-click, go to View => Choose Details... and click the check box for Date Created, then press OK.)  
Once you do that, then the most recent error log will show up last.  

Sorry for the mix up... company can be really distracting when you're trying to post in threads, and I really should've caught that sooner than now.  :doh:

I couldn't find it.I don't know why but alot of things seem very confusing here.I mean I found the object.package file without the Win RAR
