HELP!! PLS

i got a problame, i download costum hairs, and i past to the documents/ea games/sims 2/downloads. But it wont work only a similar hair. what can i do to work all costum hair?

So, you downloaded some custom hair - I assume this was a .zip or a .rar file, is that correct?

So when you say you pasted the files into the downloads directory, did you open the .rar or .zip files and extract their contents, or did you just put the .zip/.rar files straight into the downloads folder?

i unzipp all and copy to the my documents/ea games/sims 2/Downloads
andf it wont work, i see only similar hair:S at all

did you make sure you downloaded the mesh too? Sometimes you can download recolours and not have the mesh, and they won't show up.

i sure, exempl:punkprincess hair!and i download piercings too. and ingame its show as unique but all is one similar hair!

Could you rephrase that? It's a bit confusing :/

If you downloaded the mesh and put them in the right folder they should show up. Did you enable custom content at the point that the game loaded the neighbourhood screen?

yas i enable and its show up, but i download 15 hair and all of it are look like one... and that one is in the sims2 normaly.

like the long haired one thats parted in the middle? Then you don't have the mesh, or downloaded the incorrect one. You could always redownload just to make sure.

And just to be slightly sure... the Downloads folder is spelled correctly, right?  (Big "D" in front, little "s" at the end... or however the Hungarian version of the game has it.  :oops:)  That small mistake can cause such a problem if there's so much as one wrong letter in it.  :angel:

I think the Downloads folder is okay, otherwise it wouldn't have shown the recolours. And I think it's written the same in Hungarian games. I wouldn't know, I'm playing in English

For some strange reason the game was coded so recolors, objects, and other whatever other non-bodyshop type items would show up in the game whether the folder was named Downloads or downloads.  Bodyshop items on the other hand require Downloads.
