Help Sims 2 Deluxe

Ok this is the problem My firend just got Sims 2 Deluxe and put it on her 3 gig laptop that she also just bought. The game loads fine up untill she tries to load a family then it quites loading, by that I mean it goes into the loading screen but then does nothing. she had played it before this and it worked fine. She has no CC or hacks in the game as I have yet to show her how to do so. can anyone help please!

Probably a graphics card issue. Update the drivers, even new computers need that.

Not sure if its necesarry but cant hurt if you do.
Deluxe is sims2 with Nighlife eh?
So i think you need the NL patch then.
And reinstall direct x 9.0 C

Ya i think I will probubly have to work on it when i see her next never thought bout the drivers she tried a reinstall and now she cant use CAS ><

its only  2 years old.

what do you mean by "3 gig laptop"? if you mean that there's 3 gigabyte left on the harddrive, then that's probably the problem - mainly too little space to run the game.

the loading screen can take ages. especially with a big house or a big family (or a combination) - or with lots of CC. it once took me around half an hour, or even more (might've been an hour or so...) to load the family/house.
