they do save in JPG. you click the C-button for taking screenshots. the simies can take pictures with their own cameras if you've got Bon Voyage. click on a sim, and choose "take picture". then a frame box will show up. everything inside the box will be captured when you hit the C-button.

and are you looking in the right place for the pictures?

My computer/Documents/EA Games/The Sims 2/Neighborhood/N00x/storytelling

(N00x = the name of the neighbourhood. default is pleasantville = N001, Strangetown = N002 and so on. the seasons neighbourhood is G001, and the FreeTime neighbourhood is F001)

Yes I found the pictures.  I can't open them. They say I need ActiveX to open the pictures.

:eh: ActiveX?  You shouldn't need that to open your pics up... What type of extension are they saving as when you take them?  (As theraven said, they should be saving automatically as ".jpg".  If they aren't, then there's definitely something up...)

Well... that means you're looking at the wrong file, my friend.  Wink

The files you should be looking for have "snapshot" in front of them, a randomized picture number in between, and of course end with ".jpg".  The "webentry" files aren't pictures at all, but ".xml" files... they're most likely the files that are uploaded when putting your stories on the official site.  (I THINK it's that... I'm not completely sure how that file works, since I never really used it.)

If you don't have any of those files in your Storytelling folders, then your pictures probably didn't take.  Which EP's do you have?  If you have NL or higher, then the directory you should be looking in is up above in theraven's post.  But if you have anything lower than that, you should look in the main Storytelling folder in your My Documents' "The Sims 2" folder.
