Help . My sims2 will not install.

hi guys.
I have this huge problem with my laptop. It can't install sims2. There is nothing wrong with my cd's or enything, and it have been installed on my other computer(wich is a stationary).
When I put the first cd in, it can only go up to 17%, it then stops and says there is a problem with some sound.package..
My laptop a Fujitsu Siemens, if that is any help?
I really hope you cant help me ? Cause I'm in desperate need of my sims d:

No offense, but rushing people that aren't online the same time you are gets one nowhere fast.  We aren't on a chat room, so posting back-to-back is a usual no-no.  

Try installing in Safe Mode.  (Press F8 when your computer is booting up until a menu pops up asking you how you want to start up your OS, then use the arrow keys to go to the option that says "Safe Mode".  It's slow, but it's usually guaranteed to work)
