I don't mind the EP's and SP's so much, or I wouldn't if they weren't buggy and filled with mal- and spy-ware. But if it's well-made content, I have no trouble buying it.

The good news..the sims3 character more likely approach 3d animation standard..I feel like controlling people from shrek!!
The bad news is..I think my computer can't handle such graphic...

On the one hand, some of the new things look really nice. I'm lovin' the dynamic body sliders and customisable hair colours.

On the other hand, I'm a little worried about this "whole neighbourhood running at once" thing. From a gameplay point of view, how am I gonna keep track of all my families at once? What if I just want a nice quiet game with a new couple without having to worry about the rest of the neighbourhood growing old and dying? And from a technical standpoint, my computer chugs at -one- household. How am I gonna run a whole bloody neighbourhood?

Thought I'd post this here since its partly about TS3.

In a gaming forum, Rod Humble said that The Sims 3 will be announced soon. No further details, but it's also apparent from his response, that FreeTime is indeed the final Sims 2 expansion pack.

What about the sims 2 apartment life?
That's not out yet.

I'm on DSL and that video is unwatchable.  If you're on dial-up, don't even bother to try.  If you have less than a T-1 connection, don't waste your time.

I wonder if the game play will be about the same...

Okay, figuring it was a bandwidth problem yesterday morning, I tried it again now, 0650 EDT on a Sat morning.  Still crap.  I'm getting a half second break every half second.  I'm not watching it.

I just pause it, and let it load for a while. Then you can watch it without the breaks. Smiley

Why can't life be like The Sims, where you can control someone with just one click?

I share your concern. However, I am remaining "causiously optimistic"
