Okay, my brother works for Activision and we have talked about the hell that is getting the ratings board to approve your game. After the Coffee Cup mod problem in GTA, it got even tighter and more problematic. He has informed me that almost no game can get through the approval process the first time and it is a process that can take weeks. Also, remember that the game will be sold internationally and what might fly in France will not cut it in Dubai. I do not expect any kind of sex in Sims, I even prefer that it not have that, so that when the four year old walks in I don't have to explain the Kama Sutra to her. LOL  I have mods for that which I can turn on and off so that I don't get in trouble with her mother. Sims is meant to be a Teen rated game which means more players and more profits for EA. I am not complaining about that at all. I just want my modding community to be able to give me options for adult play if I feel like it. EA is so NOT my porn provider, they wouldn't do it well anyway! ROFL!

Just move them out of the apartment and into the one with mom. Easy peasy, no cheats needed. Next time when marrying a mom with kids when the menu pops up that asks who is moving with the mom, make sure that the pictures are moved from left to right with teh "add" button, before you hit the check. Just like with parties. I have messed that one up a couple of times myself. LOL

I always have the testing cheats enabled with the See Them hack. Yet, the option for furnished didn't come up, though it was like 20,000 plus rent to get the apartment, which was weird. Then when we got in, there was invisible furniture all over the place that I had to use MATY's  yellow box of doom to get rid of. It was quite surreal. Has this happened to anyone else and was it the See Them hack, or something else? My scan with conflict hack detector turned up nothing, by the by.

Did you "Search for Roommate"? A menu should show up with pictures of people that you can choose to have move in. You choose one and they show up at your door with a suitcase and become selectable like a pet is in Pets, on the same little tree branch of the selectable sims. ( I hope that makes sense. )

I agree. It used to be that when you changed clothes, you then had to go to the mirror and change the makeup or something in order to make the clothing match the thumbnail, now when you change clothes it automatically changes the thumbnail. This is a feature that I actually like better!

So what happens if you resurrect the Tricot family? Do we get a special bonus?

Yup on both counts. I run HCDU every time I load in new hacks and I got the patch first thing. I will take out my hack folder adn try using the butler, to see if he changes behavior.

I hired a butler for one of my lots and the annoying little spud is useless. Not only does he not cook meals until people are nearly dead from starvation, but he hardly cleans up the house at all! Dishes sit on tables for hours while he chats up the guests and leaf raking seems to be completely absent. The worst part is that when my Sim is watching TV, the butler walks in and turns it off!

If there anything that you can do to stop the butler from being a complete no load waste of pixels? I would be deeply grateful!

I also had that problem, it was taking forever. I canceled the spell (make it all sparkly outside) and took out the hack, things were fine after that.

Ah I see the issue was alignment related. Will go check that out again.

Okay, I admit to using the InSim to be best buddies with the witches so my sims could purchase from them, but it does mean now they want to come over and hang out all the time! Blech. Your way is just so much more elegant. Thanks!

I find the landlord irritating adn cannot figure out why the same apartment building has different landlords for each tenant. More spawning NPCs to slow my game down. Thanks EAxia!

Yeah, ran the utility and cleared up the problem, looks like I had more than one version of a couple of non-autonomous hacks. Doh! Everything is working peachy now.

So, I had this problem back in the old version and it has cropped up again in this one. When I have the larger family hack installed, my sims pop out of watching TV when I ask them to change the channel, or queuing up for the toilet if I click on the shower. Is this fixable, or a conflict with another hack? I will try playing it with Testing Cheats Enabled and get back to you, but if it was something that had been reported before, I figured I would just mention it here.
