Hello! Although my motive issue has resolved with the playground, I would like to make a different, but related request.

*Less autonomous playground
Currently if there's a playground on the lot, they seem to choose to play on it over anything else...

And I have one additional request

*Butler cooks better food
If I'm going to pay this douche bag $20/hr the least he can do is cook me something better than a TV Dinner!

I would like to make a request for AL. While playing an apartment lot which has a play ground, my neighbors will not stop playing on the playground until they are stinky and pass out! Please make a hack to give them a bit of common sense on when enough is enough! :violent1:

You can safely delete every thumbnail file contained in the Thumbnails folder - they will all be regenerated the next time you load your game.

That looks like an official maxis screen shot. I'm fairly sure that this sky color is a part of seasons EP. Your hack would be overwriting this setting and changing it to look like something else. Remove the hack and you should see this (I see it frequently in my game but I do not remember the circumstances in which it shows..)

If there is a new version of your driver available, download and install it.

Also try minimize the amount of programs you have running in the background - they take memory away from your game.

You need to place the trays on objects called "OMSP" or "One More Slot Package." These are clones of objects at certain heights which are invisible and can have objects, especially (invisible recolors of the) tray. You can find them available for download at Modthesims2.com (Search OMSP and you should find plenty)

I use a bunch of Mods for OFB. The ones I use were made by Squinge and are no longer supported, but haven't given me trouble so far (I have all EPs and SPs up to Free Time). You can find all of his OFB mods here in the Sims2 Graveyard, but as I said, they are not supported any more, so USE AT YOUR OWN RISK! :x

If you have BV, all sims have cameras. You can click on another sim and get the option 'Take my picture' and that person will theoretically use your camera to take pictures of whatever you aim it at (it doesn't have to be you!)

Showing up in your neighborhood? This is because when you plopped lots from the catalog onto your neighborhood, a copy of it was placed into that neighborhood's neighborhood folder (N00#/G00# etc)


That would be a logical conclusion, but my first gut instinct when I saw your post of 'flashing red and black' was a graphics issue.


Your CC is safe, it was installed separately to your downloads folder.


So wait, you did not install a lot recently? What was the very last thing you did before this problem started occuring? (A new EP? New hardware? Any changes to your game or computer itself...)

I tend to associate flashing red or black with a graphics issue, which may or may not be CC related. Have you perhaps installed any mods, such as lighting mods, which do not get installed in the CC folder? I once tried to install a lighting mod with an incompatible version of the game and it made my game flash RED.


Is Pleasantview the only neighborhood affected?

Here are some things you might want to do.
*If you have any lighting mods, remove them.
*Verify that your video card is compatible with the game and that you have the most current drivers for your card.
*Is your computer running hot? Since things are blacking out over time and not immediately, it suggests to me you may be having a hardware failure somewhere.


Oh, it's only Pleasantview that is like this? No other neighborhoods affected? Perhaps Pleasantview became corrupt somehow :x

These are my best guesses on how to help diagnose your problems. You've already taken some good first steps! I'm not a technical expert, but hopefully my advise will be of some use ._.;

Those pop-ups are debugging error messages that display when you have boolprop testingcheatsenabled true turned on. What it's telling you is that a CC file is causing a game error.

What are your sims doing or trying to do when the error pops up?

You probably have some mods that are incompatible that you will need to either remove or make sure you have the most updated versions.

Hmmm.. is it possible that you have some CC file that your bodyshop just really doesn't like and freezes when attempting to load? Try removing all of your CC, delete those cache/cigen files, and try to load BS again. If it loads successfully, you might have a borked CC file.

Yeah, you should be able to do that. That's probably a lot easier than cleaning up the neighborhoods yourself!
