16  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / Farm Life EP on: June 26, 2008, 07:27:30 am
I have thought of something else. "Mutli-use" crops! Crops that have more than one use could be used for more than one thing! Olives, for example, can be eaten but can also be used to make oil. Grapes  and apples can also be eaten but can also be used to make juice, wine or cider (respectively), as well as, vinegar. So multi-use crops are a good idea in my book!

Back to the subject... Smiley

It looks like Apartment Life (AL) will have only a minor aspect of Super Star (SS) in that your Sim in AL will get a "reputation score" that seems to work in a similar way that "Star Power" worked in SS. It's sad to think that's what Makin' Magic and Super Star have become in TS2. Sad

*Pulls hair out* why does the younger generation INSIST on using such a disgusting, foul-mouthed and bigoted term to denote something being stupid/silly/dumb?? There are literally thousands of other words one could use to get their point across. Personally using that term in such a way tells me how ignorant the person is.

Unfortunately that's the way young people get thier point across. Mine was "the f-bomb" or using God's name in vain when I was younger. I do agree though that the use of a bigoted term is wrong!
Okay now let's get back to the subject!

Bumping this up again! Does anyone have anything that they want to add to the ideas already given?

Okay, so we now have Apartment Life that has some elements of Makin' Magic. If this is the last EP then so be it but I would not object to there being a Super Star tribute in TS2. Heck I'd like to see Drew Carey make a return to The Sims franchise!

I'm not saying that Simdude was right however it did seem that there was a dog pile on him. Okay so he said something you disagreed with and all of you had to "prove him wrong". Correcting his "faux pas" was one thing but they did eventually turn the electricity to Ted Bundy's electric chair off!

Anyway let's all be friends again shall we?

Unless my eyes are decieving me it looks like Apartment Life is going to have aspects of Makin' Magic. Check it out!

PegasusDiana, I too wish to express my sympathy. I had an aunt die this Tuesday (20 May 2008).

And if you believe that you will believe anything

If you read the 2 part interview with Mr Humble on RPS (linked by Snooty Sims) and read the post on the BBS in full it tells a different story.

If the droids at EAxis are really taking note of what the community is saying, wtf are they still releasing crappy, buggy EPs?  This does not inspire confidence in Sims3 if they still can't get Sims2 right.

As for the panacea about the other EPs from Sims1 they haven't (yet) reproduced in Sims2 - it might keep the sheeple happy to think that EAxis are going to continue producing EPs for Sims2 after the release of Sims3 but unless the proposed date is going to be pushed back for some reason then there won't be any MM or Superstar (and why would we want it?)

As long as Sims is profitable EAxis will do as they like - regardless of what the community wants

To "piggy-back" off of that, it seems that Mr Humble had just opened his account that day and has made only ONE post. If his post wasn't a PR stunt then I don't know what is!
25  The Sims 3 / Sims 3 Buzz / graphics versus playability on: May 04, 2008, 06:33:59 am
You know, I couldn't care less about graphics is TS3 (or any sims franchise for that matter) than I do about playability. What I mean by that is that I'd sacrifice some graphics to have more interactions (either personal, social, or evironmental). The graphics, in my poinion, should be second (albeit a VERY CLOSE second) to the playability.

xoJessi I think that I'll follow your third suggestion as far as not playing for a while. Maybe I need a break!

I just wish EA would get off of thier collective butt and give us more information!

I didn't think of that but you do make a good point.
*laugh*

As far as.....

Work it like the hobbies do.  They come home and say "Wow, I really enjoyed that.  I hope I can go again next time!"
Or something.  Just a thought.

Not a bad idea!

I did go to a Temple once, and though that was for a class I was taking, I can see your point very well.

Again, as far as.....
I mean I appreciate your compliments but I'm just a little confused as to what point that you're talking about. Sorry Sad

I also like the idea of Expansion packs, but instead of doing CDs you buy at the store, maybe a download you have to pay so much money for.  And there's a file you just add to a certain folder per religion.  As long as they don't charge too much that is.

Yeah a different download for each different religion would be good. I mean the "Holiday" (oh how I hate that "politically correct" term) pack featured elements of Christmas, Chanukah and Kwanza so a religion pack would be easy (or at least should be).

You mean you're tired of the sims in general or you won't buy ts3?

In general. Maybe I'm just going through a phase. It could be that I am having a mild case of melacholia due to the end of an era.  I suppose that the lack of news about either TS3 or Apartment life is bothering me as well. I mean something gets annouce and then you hear no follow up afterward can really take the wind out of your sails!
