1  Simmers' Paradise / Sims 2 Pictures / Re: ~*Yaoi Heaven*~ Post your Yaoi Couples here!!! on: July 29, 2009, 03:15:35 am
God, I miss this game!!! I have been playing TS3 too much. Boo. The shiny is wearing off. As soon as I am moved into my new apartment and get all my stuff organized, I will transfer my files to my new pc (which kills for gaming  Grin) and get TS2 going again!! Sigh. I miss my pretty boys ...
2  The Sims 3 / Sims 3 Help / Re: The update killed my game! on: July 29, 2009, 03:02:50 am
Do you have awesomemod installed? It's currently not compatible with the new update. I accidentally updated mine so I had to do a system restore to fix it. Boo EA. I'd much rather play without their patch than without awesomemod.

Oh Canada. Sometimes I think I'd rather like to join you ...  rolleyes

So I definitely had no idea that this thread existed until just now but it kind of makes my night (erm ... morning)! I am not a teen either, but I am a lesbian so I thought I would poke my head in and say hi as well. So hi! And yay for this thread. It's so nice to find so many beautiful, welcoming people here.
4  The Sims 3 / Sims 3 Help / Re: More sims in family mod?? on: July 22, 2009, 05:06:36 am
I don't know if you want the awesomemod or not (don't know why you wouldn't  Grin) but I believe that you can choose to enable families greater than 8 people in the download now. Last time I checked though, it's a bit different than in TS2. Only 8 of your people's icons show up so you have to use the spacebar in order to control them which is a nuisance but at least you could still have big families!
5  The Sims 3 / Sims 3 Help / Re: Create-a-Sim on: June 25, 2009, 01:12:54 pm
Have you downloaded anything? If it's playing men fine, then it would seem to me that it's an issue with something specific to women (i.e. clothing, hair, a sim, etc) and not a computer issue. As far as I know, female sims don't bog the game down any more than male sims, so I would tend to think it has something to do with the content you're using.
6  The Sims 3 / Sims 3 Buzz / Re: Would people be interested in African American Puddings? on: June 15, 2009, 10:05:38 pm
Wow, I am slow today. I was like "Puddings? Like dessert?" Lol. I'm good now! It just took me a second ... Grin
Yeah, I say go for it! I know I wouldn't mind having some more diversity in my neighborhoods and I'm sure they would be a welcome addition to the site!
7  The Sims 3 / Sims 3 Help / Re: kidnapping... yes it happened to me in sims 3 on: June 14, 2009, 12:52:34 am
Wow, that sucks! I do have one suggestion that you might try. If you can find out where your babysitter lives (or at least where the baby is) you could use testing cheats to add the baby back to your household. If you haven't used testing cheats before, just enter testingCheatsEnabled on into the cheat window and then hold the shift key while you click on your baby. Hopefully the option should come up to add the sim to your household!
8  The Sims 3 / Sims 3 Help / Re: Hair on: June 14, 2009, 12:40:48 am
That is rather odd, isn't it! I haven't had that problem personally, but if you haven't tried this yet you might see if their hair is set as the same for all outfits. Obviously, with a work outfit they will automatically have the hair or hat to go along with it. I would think though that if you have it set to the same hair for all outfits it would at least match hair color when they are in work clothing. And this seems too easy, but have you tried just going to the mirror and changing their appearance? I'm guessing you may not be able to change anything, but I suppose it's worth a try! Hope this helps for you!  Grin
9  The Sims 3 / Sims 3 Buzz / Re: a few questions about content to anyone who owns the game on: June 09, 2009, 12:38:54 pm
^What tyler said.  Grin

As for the other things, the pregnancy is a bit different. There aren't chimes anymore when your sim gets pregnant, so it's more of a surprise, which I quite like! The woman also is nauseous and has back aches occasionally during the pregnancy. I'm not sure if they have to go to the hospital or not though. All of mine have so far but I haven't tried to stay at home.

There is a censor blur (rather large one, actually) but if you poke around the net enough you may find ways around that ...  Wink
You don't have to go shopping for clothes as your sims automatically have them all!

Schooling is good; your kids hop on the bus and disappear into the school for a few hours, which I personally don't mind. You also have the option of changing how hard they work at school or what they do while they're there. Once they get home, mine generally do something fun and then at some point in the evening automatically do their homework. It's nice to not have to poke and prod them until they do it. And if they do forget to, they also have to option of finishing it at school.
10  The Sims 3 / Sims 3 Help / Re: Custom music on: June 09, 2009, 12:12:32 pm
Hmm ... I don't know. For me the folders that you mentioned are under Program Files where as my custom music folder is under documents, but if that's not the case for you I don't know. What operating system are you using?
11  The Sims 3 / Sims 3 Help / Re: Custom music on: June 08, 2009, 10:24:42 pm
My custom music file was placed under C:\Users\User Name\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3. Try checking there and see if that helps.
12  The Sims 3 / Sims 3 Help / Re: installation help plsz. on: June 04, 2009, 12:39:37 pm
Hey, Bev! If the previous fix doesn't work, you might try what I ended up doing. I kept having installation errors as well (it would get to the Sunset Valley.objectCache file and then freeze) so I tried installing in Safe Mode and it worked perfectly! You might give that a shot! Hope this helps!
13  The Sims 3 / Sims 3 Buzz / Re: Familys from sims1 or sims2 carried over into sims3? on: June 01, 2009, 12:42:51 pm
Good God, the math on this very question had been done in other threads. Do people not look before they just jump in with both feet or is their specific wording for the question so important to them that they must post it? Why do I get so annoyed with this? Because it's been stated in other threads that this game is a prequel to Sims 1 AND 2, and that Sims 2 takes place in the years beginning in 2025, which tends to make some sense. Honestly, though, why can't people read the other topics before they go starting something similar? GAAAAAAAAAAAH!

Reading? What is this reading you speak of? I've never heard of this concept before!  rolleyes *Hands Paden a cookie*
14  The Sims 3 / Sims 3 Buzz / Re: Interviews on: May 27, 2009, 09:19:38 pm
The 92 rating that these magazines have given this game was of course not in any way influenced by free luncheons, nights on the town or other perks and gifts.

Lol. Free lunch would do it for me. Not gonna lie.  Tee Hee
15  The Sims 3 / Sims 3 Buzz / Re: Misc news on: May 27, 2009, 05:06:34 pm
Yeah, no joke. I want it to be good and, so help me, I'm ridiculously excited ... but I'm trying to keep it in check, lol.  DOH2
