Does anyone have this problem?

The TIKI FULL SET from the EA Store is missing the pattern named tikiTrees01Sml_4 and the objects do not show up right in game.

Could anyone please, please help me?

I bought my Sims 3 yesterday... I'm so happy. I had no troubles with it, at all, except for one... Mirror reflections. Even with the best in-game graphics config, they don't look right... They crash. They show some... glitching?? How do you name those weird blue moving squares... pixels... ? I don't know.

So... Hardware is fine and brand new. My Video Card and computer resources are just perfect for playing this game... I'm guessing that I thought I had the best Video Card configuration, but I missed something... It has to be some option that I checked or unchecked in Nvidia's Control Panel. But I don't know what it is.

The question is: Does anyone know what could it be?

Second question: I can't wait to start downloading stuff. I've read where do package files and sim files go. But I'm not sure if I can in those folders, freely make tons of subfolders, as I would do with Sims 2, to organize my downloads.

I do not want to make the same mistakes I did with my Sims 2... at the end, organizing Downloads was torture... Sims 3 is a fresh start... a chance to do things right, right from the start. He he he... Wow. Guess I'm taking this too seriously... He he he.

I've got this simple, almost quite stupid question, about organizing your custom content in your downloads folder, that I'm sure someone will be able to answer right away.

I've read some help guides, that according to me, were not exactly clear about this point, and I need to know this, because I'm organizing.

If you have NL or later installed, as it is in my case, you have the freedom to put the content of your downloads folder in an infinite amount of sub-folders.

What I don't know is if you can make sub-sub-folders, and sub-sub-sub-folders and so on...

As usual, I've gotten myself in some kind of trouble... now, I'm nervous about making a big mess. So, please, help this poor woman!

I've just re-installed the game, the EPs, SPs, everything... Since I'm starting from zero point, I decided to be careful and tidy this time. I'm slowly adding the stuff I've downloaded in the past, to my downloads folder, trying to put it all in subfolders... very nit. It's a hard hard work...

But... for some reason... something, and I haven't been able to figure out what it was, made the waste bin basket be available for almost everything, every skin and everything! And I'm afraid I might make a mistake and delete something that I'm not supposed to delete... actually I've spend the last half hour trying to think if I hadn't already done that stupidity.

What may have caused this? I've read somewhere that the stuff from the EA Store combined with the CEP were a bad thing, but I looked pass that.

What could happen if I had actually accidentally deleted just one outfit?
This question I actually make it here, because, if I deleted it, it means that I did not like it, therefore, I will not miss it, ever. And if it doesn't mean that my game is going to crash, then I can live with it. However, if it will bring me problems, later, I'd better know now, and install everything again now... since, I would like to be able to back up my game files, in the future, if I keep playing the game, know what I mean?
On the other hand, also, I'm not sure if I actually deleted something that was not deletable... and I'm so lazy about re-installing everything again!

To sum up, having the waste bin available for things that should not be deleted, is a big danger for me... I would like to know how to solve that... maybe someone knows what causes that...

P.S.: It's also a big temptation... I've always wondered why Maxis didn't give the players the chance to delete the ugly outfits or chairs, they did not like without screwing up the game? I hope the Sims 3 include that feature... but I doubt it, too.

I'm soooo glad you're back, 'cos I have a zillion more stupid questions to ask.

I'm always having issues with my computer, and I've re-installed my game once more... and I keep forgetting what to do with this thing, I need a final answer:

If I want all my custom content to show properly and all my mods and downloaded stuff, and fixes and hacked stuff (yes, I have made sure they're compatible with my game, and I've got every EP and SP available to the day) to work properly... am I supossed to activate or deactivate the question at the start of the game??? I'm really confused...

So far, I started the game once, and the question poped up. I checked "activate these custom contents" and played the game. But the mods were not working. Left the game, started it again. The question poped up again. The mods were not working, either. I thought they were supposed to work the second time. So, I unchecked the option that makes the question pop up at the start. And left the game. Came here to post. I'm starting the game to see what happens now, but anyway I'll check later to see if anyone was able to reply this to me.

And, if this thing works now, am I supposed to leave that thingy unchecked? Will other mods that I add later work?

I downloaded CAS Face Template Replacements, ny Oepu and some other creators, and then I tried to install them.

First, I dropped them in my Downloads folder and they didn't work.

So, I deleted the thumbnails files and the cigen package and then the groups cache... And they still didn't work.

Then, I put them in my saved sims folder, since I read somewhere that it could maybe work then, but it didn't work either...

Anything else I can try?

I would REEEEALLY like to change my CAS face templates, because Maxis are too too fugly.

Well, I got all the EPs and SPs all together at once, some time ago. Hadn't even had the time to play them, when my computer had some issues, and I couldn't really discover the new stuff.

So, now I got my PC back, fixed, and to celebrate, I got me the Apartment Life EP. The problem is that now some objects that are or should be one tile objects, take two tiles, and I can't put them in place. Specially courtains.

The problem is that I'm not sure that this issue began when I installed AL... but, I guess that if the bug was caused by other EP, a patch would have fixed it...? Does this problem sound familiar to anybody? Can I fix it?

I don't even have that much custom content, because I recently lost my hard drive, and I'm at the slow process of getting everything back, right now... so I seriuosly doubt that custom content could have caused it...

One of the objects affected is a very romantic country like courtain that came with Seasons EP. It's a one tile short courtain, but it appears in the game to be a two tile courtain, making it impossible to place it over a one tile window.

I've another question: how do you do to choose the higth of wall decorations? The AL EP was supposed to add that option, but so far, I haven't been able to do it.

How long do you think it will take for Maxis to release a patch fo AL EP?

Since Maxis forgot so many dog breeds, including my favourite ones, I went and downloaded them. I was happy 'cos I had quite a lot of new dogs and cats, most of them from MTS2. However, when I saw them in the game I was really surprised by the way they looked... deformed, with strange head shape and weird eyes.
I thought that somehow it was a matter of likes, and that other people might actually like them... I thought: "How strange these creators did not realise that this looks weird...".
So, I deleted them, and went and got some other dogs. But when I put them in the game, they looked weird too. Same head deformation and weird popping eyes...

Do you think it is a real game problem? And what is it?

I have this graphic problem with my sims game, and I wonder if you could help me. It's not like I won't play it, because of it, but it can be annoying.

I'm sorry but I'm having trouble with describing the problem because I'm not a native english speaker, but... I'll try my best.

When I'm playing, when I zoom in or out, or pan or rotate the image, the game stops or freezes for less than a second, repeatedly. I think that is called flickering but I'm not sure.

Other than that the graphics are just perfect, since my computer has everything you need to run the game at its best, because I have a great computer with a great graphics card, because I am a designer and I use the computer for work.

I immagine it has to be a configuration problem, but I haven't been able to solve it. Please help.

I've just installed all the game expansions... well, I admit I didn't patch them. I'm planning to uninstall everything and re-install, patching the game after each instalation.

However... I haven't yet done that, because I'm so curious about all the never seen (by me) new unexplored chances of gameplay... And looking around the game I just realised that the dustbin for deleting custom eyecolours in CAS, in the game, does not appear when selecting a custom eyecolour.

Is it a common bug? Will one of the patches correct that? Or has it ever happened to anyone?

Well, I know I might seem a little bit too melodramatical, and it is not the worst thing that could happen to my game, but it certainly does bother me, because I like downloading celebs, and I end up having a lot of eyecolurs I dislike and I need to be able to delete them in CAS. Specially because Bodyshop looks so bad, I prefer CAS so much.

The only EP I used to have was UNI, and for years all I could think about when I was playing or downloading new objects was: "When will I be able to get the expansions? Why am I so miserable?".

Finally I got some extra money, and I went and bought all the EPs and Stuff Packs. I've got now the complete collection up to Freetime, because Apartment Life is not out there yet, at least in my country.

The thing is: in case any of the cds was wrong and I had to take it back to the store, I installed all the EPs, one after the other one... and when I was done, and everything was working I realised... what about the official patches?

What about them? Do I need them? Do I need only the one for Freetime? In case I need all of them, can I download them and install them now? Was I suppose to install every patch immediatelly after the EP it is meant to patch?
