I never use the ingame camera (shift+c). I have Gadwin running in the background (causes no lag) and use it to take screen caps. That gives wonderful, sharp pics and you can then crop and resize the pic to your heart's content!

RAVEN- i already do most of the things you suggested, and no matter what that is as close as i can get, which is sad, and i ahve no clue how to change the size. scratcch that, i remember now. thanks for the tips.

I use Gadwin too. I've had some troubles with it lately (some computer graphic settings, I believe...) but usually it works like a dream. You'll need Photoshop or gimp though, to resize and/or crop the pictures. I mostly stopped using the ingame camera ages ago - at least  I never use it for contests or story pics. But with graphics on the highest, and with the biggest, and best quality photos, you can get somewhat good pictures with the ingame camera, too - if you don't want to fill up your computer with a bunch of pictures on half a MB each...
