As for an update, I can't promise anything, because I have a life...! Ok, I don't, but I have plenty of school, study and stress that's supposed to keep me occupied! :lol: The pictures are all taken, it's just the editing and writing and general collaboration I have to sort out.

Edit: Oh yeah, I made the first post look all pretty, now there's a proper title picture (albeit small) and links to chapters and everything.

Ok, some good news and bad news. Lets start with the bad first, otherwise the good news won't make sense.

Bad news: Sims is playing up and the application keeps crashing and it's possibly something to do with me installing AL (because I'm stupid). But it only happens on that lot, so it might go away if I move them out.

Good news: I have enough pictures for at least two more chapters after this one, and the problem can hopefully be fixed!

This chapter is in two parts because:
1) I needed to break up the pictures
2) I had writers block and so used song lyrics for most of the first part (plagiarism and laziness on my part) Also, the song 'Downtown' by Petula Clark fitted it perfectly.
3) The second part needed a different song.

Be prepared for a whole wedge of cheesiness! But at least Kit is happy.

Chapter Five - Part I: Downtown Dates

When you're alone and life is making you lonely, you can always go

Which is where I went. To the newest clothing store, of course. Just look who I met there. Three lightening bolts worth of goodness.

I do! So did Amar, apparently. It just so happened to be the very Diner Marylena and I used to work at. The hotdog smell made me nauseous. And he thought it would be alright to bring his croney mates?! Ah, no.

Chapter Five - Part II: ‘Three Lightening Bolts Worth of Goodness’

I won't lie, it was pretty sudden when Amar moved in, but then we had been progressing rapidly. I quickly discovered why we were such a perfect match. Amar loves to cook as much as I do, and he’s working in the culinary field too, though he’s slightly more advanced than me. Only slightly. He also aspires to become ridiculously wealthy. He couldn’t be more perfect!


Of course, Amar’s delightful presence in my household prompted yet another spree. I couldn’t let him wear that awful distressed jeans outfit.


Just some tweaking here and there, plus a haircut and now he really did look like my dream guy. I was beginning to wonder if this all really was a dream. This couldn’t be my life?! I hadn’t even heard from ESG since the beak-nose incident. I was a little suspicious.


Ok, Amar was just a bunch of –very attractive- pixels, but boy, could he cook. He cooked my worries about ESG away. No ‘illusion’ could cook this well. The best grilled cheese sandwich I’ve ever had.  


I guess… I decided I didn’t want to wait any longer… So I popped the question over our grilled cheese sandwiches. I was stupidly nervous, but excited.

With no time to waste, Amar wanted to get married right then and there. Who was I to refuse? Of course I had prepared for this day, and had a beautiful (purple) dress already. We married on the beach, making use of the beautiful beach scenery, but I didn’t go anywhere near the water.


Amar gave me a pretty good wedding gift. What was it? The gift of youth. All of the recent drama has really aged me.


Then came the inevitable, but I was more excited than nervous. Or are they the same thing? Amar was calm and offered me assurance. I was personally worried about what it was like… As pixels? Was this real?  


It felt like it.


Amar was beginning to make think that maybe, just maybe, all this was real.

I thought it was cute!  Kit has never looked more lovely.  That hair really suits her.  And you're right, the 'Downtown' lyrics do fit this chapter perfectly.  I remember that guy - I had forgotten about him when I was talking about nice looking downtownies earlier.  I didn't recognize him at first because his skin was lighter than I'm used to seeing, but I certainly recognized that shirt!  Man is he cute!  Does Kit really have three bolts with him?  If so, then she needs to look no further, and we can all rest assured that future generations will have a good beginning.
