Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Crash, Crash, Crash

Yeah, that's what I always do. Those two cache files are like little databases. The 'accessory.cache' file is the Bodyshop database and the 'Groups.cache' is the database for the rest of the CC in your game (eg CC, object recolours, neighbourhood objects). Like what EKozski said, these databases gets corrupted, especially when you install a LOT of CC all at the same time.

Simmers' Paradise / Sims Stories / Sixteenth . Sorrow [1]
|

Sixteenth Sorrow It takes one to know one. ~ “Dolores Seize is just one of the treacherous and menacing cybernetic corporations that are desperate to get their hands on pyrons, one of the most important components on making cyborgs and androids. They would do everything, and will destroy anything and everything that would get in their way.” Clerysse is the only known existing Ecton in our planet. In her veins are the most important component of a robot: pyrons. She has spent years trying to avoid every cybernetic corporation, but Dolores Seize has eventually captured her. With the help of a young FBI agent Seth, she has to make sure that her pyrons wouldn’t fall in the wrong hands. But after all of these years, what if she realised that they are not her real enemies? What if the main antagonist was something even bigger?[/font] ~ Constructive criticism and feedback warmly welcome :] It might not as good as you expected, but I am just new to story-writing. : ]

Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / BV crashin'
|
on: August 30, 2008, 03:42:06 am

OK, here is my dilemma. My Bon Voyage game keeps on crashing. I already un-installed it and re-installed it four times but it still keeps on crashing. As far as I know I haven't downloaded any new hacks or anything that might conflict with game behaviour.
What is wrong with my game? It's really getting annoying now.

Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / game crashes

Try the Clean Installer. After you installed it, well, you have to open the program. Wait for all of your downloads to be listed there. It might take a while, depending on the amount of downloads that you have. Anyways, things that are highlighted in red are most likely to be a hack, and things that are highlighted in pink are either duplicates or empty files. Disable those hacks and I hope it all goes well for you. If not, well... Probably disable all of your CC and look for the culprit before enabling it again.

Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Random Items appearing?
|
on: June 29, 2008, 12:41:08 am

I`m not sure about that, but those items are part of the inSIMenator (or something like that). I`ll look for the link (I just encountered it a while ago). Found it. Here it is. There should be an explanation there :]

Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Repricing Lots
|
on: June 29, 2008, 12:37:36 am

I`m not sure if you can do that. Because the price of the lot depends on the content that came with it. I suggest that you can activate the cheat "familyfunds" so you can move a family in there :]

Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Too many files?
|
on: June 20, 2008, 11:56:14 pm

Well, it depends on the size of your hard drive. My Downloads folder is about 5 MB and it takes about 5 minutes to load, depending if I have any other applications opened (but when Photoshop AND Sims 2 are opened, my computer gets slower than normal).
So... it depends on your hard drive, really. If your hard drive capacity is only 80 GB then it`s a problem. If it`s about 200GB then you`re fine.
