1  A Safe Haven / General Discussion / Re: What are you currently doing (besides being here)? on: March 04, 2014, 11:20:37 am
Randomly peeking in, because I haven't made a normal forum post in what feels like years... (or has it really been that long?)  huh

Also working on some music and Blender3D projects on the backend (mainly VOCALOID stuff, but trying to get some other things in as well)... unfortunately, I don't have much to do with Sims anymore, since I lost a lot of stuff with past computer issues and I just don't have the heart to start over.   Headwall I might come back around someday when Sims 4 comes out, though... at least I can start fresh and hopefully get with CC creation for that. (...and continue to be happy with the fact that whenever I'm here, I'm still 24.)  Evil
2  Simmers' Paradise / Where Can I Find...? / Re: Baby bottle warmer? on: October 28, 2012, 02:04:31 pm
Since Eclectic Sims used to be a pay site, the majority of their items can still be found in the Sims 2 booty under "Inactive Sites" directory. If you're also looking for a similar "Moses basket" to the one Theraven converted, Snowstorm also made some that are available in that listing as well, with and without blankets all in the same file. Not to forget that HP has made one at MTS, but it's with stand and hooded.

Those were never made since the poster of the original request thread only asked for the fat meshes from what I can remember. Sad You might have to request this to be done.

It's an old pay hair from the since-dead site Sims Connection. You can find it available here.
5  Simmers' Paradise / Objects & Recolors / Zataku (Japanese low table) with correct sitting/eating animations on: September 08, 2012, 06:52:21 am
Don't mind this too much, I'm just throwing out ideas since this is something that's been bothering me for a while now.    tongue

One of the many things I wished EA had included in any EP/SP they put out for Sims 2 is a properly-working zataku for dining purposes as a sister/slaved object to the Tea Time Table. I know there are several traditional Japanese "low" tables available around the community (and I've downloaded and used just about the majority of them), but the only working ones available require Sims to actually sit through the ground using the normal dining chair animations. Being as picky as I am, I've always wished to actually have a properly working zataku using, if at all possible, the sitting animations used with the tea table that came with BV:

Even having them sit cross-legged and eat would be fine, too. I know similar has been done (with thanks to Squinge) that enable Sims to watch TV while sitting on the floor, so that's what really got the gears in my head turning again not long after I finally got the courage to install post-Seasons EPs on my new laptop just last year.

The main thing about this though: I know it's probably going to take a heck of a long time to figure out how to do it. I was thinking at one point that the animations for placing a food plate on a coffee table/floor would probably work for serving.  And if the animation for sitting down on the zabuton (floor cushion) is actually a lower-body overlay like the other sitting-in-chair animations usually are, it could be used in place of the sit-in-dining chair animations. Oh, if only it was that simple... my knowledge of object modding and Sims animation is almost non-existent.  Grin

Hey... if it can't be done, no gripes from me.  Like I said, it's mainly an idea for someone looking for a challenge and to get it off my mind for a bit. I'd even take an animation/overlay posebox in place of it.  But if anyone's willing to try their hand at helping me out with this, I'd be grateful. Angel

Did you link the clothing texture to the mesh you made? It sounds like you might have missed doing that from what you're mentioning.
7  Simmers' Paradise / Clothing & Body Mesh's / Re: Could someone Please convert this MYOS AM mesh to TM ? on: August 28, 2012, 12:51:20 pm
Tron, check your PM box when you get a chance. Wink

As for the thing with the hoody mesh, you shouldn't have to edit the mesh at all for it to take on the alpha mapping (the black & white files that show up when you make a new project). Just make sure if you don't want the hood showing that the image file named "body_alpha~stdMatBaseTextureName_alpha.bmp" is all black. Once you reload the project in Bodyshop, it should show without the hood, just like on your adult retextures. (Eh... I know you might already know this, but just in case someone else is also checking up and might be new to retextures & coloring and want to use the same mesh...)

And I definitely get what you're saying on shoe swaps... I'm not a Milkshape3D user, but I certainly know when you're starting out it can be a little more than frustrating to get things working right, especially with that particular program. I'm used to being able to rotate around the mesh and actively editing in the same exact view instead of using fixed view ports, so I probably wouldn't be too much help on that front.  Embarrassed  (...but I do plan on making a Blender3D part swapping/subset adding tutorial sometime soon now that all my "tools" are back in order. I've been putting that off way too long.)

Hey, Tron, I just got to thinking... after getting SimPE working again a few days ago and getting a chance to check out the mesh a few hours ago, Mocha's mesh conversion really IS the one you've been looking for this whole entire time if you want teen outfits just like the one you pictured. Smiley  The hood on the mesh is alpha editable, so you should be able to do a copy/paste of the texture and alpha files from your adult projects to a project made from the teen version without any problems.  Wink

I have, however, started a conversion for the MyoS AMCL06 mesh (the one you use for your recent jersey outfits), so I guess that's an added bonus in my oversight. LMAO  The only two issues problem it will have is the usual problem with seams at the neck area and no fat morphs... (I'd love to be able to nix this one day, but I've completely gone through all the Milkshape trial periods I could) If someone is willing to fix those two issues that, I wouldn't mind throwing in the fat morph edit in a file so they wouldn't have to do too much extra.  Grin Other than that, I'll have that mesh up sometime tomorrow.

(A little fairy has fixed my SMD mesh importer, so no worries on that now.  Just need to get rid of those unsightly seams...)

Extremely late... but done.  Sorry about that.   Embarrassed  Thanks for the updates, Osaga!
10  The Sims 3 / Pudding Requests / Re: Could anyone make a long black braid for men please ? on: August 13, 2012, 08:28:15 am
We can't see the picture unfortunately... the image is hotlinked and the host site is blocking it.  We have rules against hotlinking, but just to keep it simple, can you please save the picture in question and re-upload it to an image-sharing site like Imageshack or Imgur?  It would definitely cause less problems for everyone. Smiley

No Prob.  (And thanks, Joy & Paden) Grin

Unfortunately, I was thinking of Mocha's conversion for the one with the hoody at Sims Urbania, but I was also sure that the one with the plain top had also been converted by someone as well... I just can't find where I saw that unfortunately.   I even though it might have been one of Caitlin's projects in the past, but it's not anywhere she's posted, either. Embarrassed

I don't mind doing it for you myself, but at the moment I seem to be having a few issues with SimPE not showing mesh previews like it's supposed to. (Not sure why its happening, I've tried every suggestion and fix made thus far, but I'm hoping it gets solved soon... I've got an itch to work on some new things anyways.)  tongue

If I'm not mistaken, someone already converted this mesh a while ago. I'll check around to see where it was last.

14  Simmers' Paradise / Accessories / Re: MtF Acessory hat conversion? on: April 17, 2012, 07:00:57 am
The female version was the very first of that series. Grin

The meshes have the same UV mapping, so conversions of those textures should be easy if Bodyshop works for you (and that is if you'd like to try it).  All it takes is a few steps after you download the required meshes and recolors you want to convert:

            • In Bodyshop, go to Create Parts tab, Start New Project, and Create Facial Hair, Makeup & Glasses Click on the "glasses" icon, then search for the accessory you want to have the recolors converted to. Select it, then click on the Export Selected Textures icon that highlights at the bottom.

            • Make a name for your project, then click on the check mark. After the project folder is created, you can hit the X to cancel.

            • Repeat previous bullets, only this time with the texture you want to use for the first project.

            • Once you've created the projects, you're going to need to browse your computer for the folder locations.  If you're using the default location, check your My Documents > EA Games >The Sims 2 > Projects folder and open the named folders you just imported.

            • Copy the texture images only from the project you want to convert to the first project's folder, then replace the old textures of the first project by pasting.

            • Switch back to Bodyshop, load the first exported project, and you should see the new textures showing up. Load it, then select Import to Game.

(I can do it for you, though... it's just going to have to wait until later on in the afternoon for me.) Wink

It is a sim, but the hair is pretty photoshopped from what I can tell, especially on the left side of the picture.  Looks like a hair brush edit of one of Rose's donation hairs that can also be found in the booty or Sims Cave (registration required for latter link).
