Simmers' Paradise / Objects & Recolors / Zataku (Japanese low table) with correct sitting/eating animations

Don't mind this too much, I'm just throwing out ideas since this is something that's been bothering me for a while now.  One of the many things I wished EA had included in any EP/SP they put out for Sims 2 is a properly-working zataku for dining purposes as a sister/slaved object to the Tea Time Table. I know there are several traditional Japanese "low" tables available around the community (and I've downloaded and used just about the majority of them), but the only working ones available require Sims to actually sit through the ground using the normal dining chair animations. Being as picky as I am, I've always wished to actually have a properly working zataku using, if at all possible, the sitting animations used with the tea table that came with BV: Even having them sit cross-legged and eat would be fine, too. I know similar has been done (with thanks to Squinge) that enable Sims to watch TV while sitting on the floor, so that's what really got the gears in my head turning again not long after I finally got the courage to install post-Seasons EPs on my new laptop just last year. The main thing about this though: I know it's probably going to take a heck of a long time to figure out how to do it. I was thinking at one point that the animations for placing a food plate on a coffee table/floor would probably work for serving. And if the animation for sitting down on the zabuton (floor cushion) is actually a lower-body overlay like the other sitting-in-chair animations usually are, it could be used in place of the sit-in-dining chair animations. Oh, if only it was that simple... my knowledge of object modding and Sims animation is almost non-existent.  Hey... if it can't be done, no gripes from me. Like I said, it's mainly an idea for someone looking for a challenge and to get it off my mind for a bit. I'd even take an animation/overlay posebox in place of it. But if anyone's willing to try their hand at helping me out with this, I'd be grateful.  |

The Sims 3 / Sims 3 Pictures / Welcome to the Sims 3 Picture Forum! (*IMPORTANT: Please Read Before Posting*)

Hello, everyone! Welcome to Insimenator.org's Sims 3 Picture Forum!  Here, you'll find all of your favorite themed threads, ready to be posted in. Before posting, though, there are a few things you'll need to know... most of them are the same as our Sims 2 Picture section, but with a few new additions: - Please remember to follow all of the Site Rules and Guidelines. Tolerance for repeat offenders has decreased since the changes, so remember to keep yourselves updated on what is expected from all users here on this site.
- Remember to make sure that you have one (1) picture per line. Having two relatively normal sized pictures side-by-side has a habit of breaking the forum frame just as bad as having one over-sized picture in your posts.
- All pictures are to be no more than 600 X 600 pixels in dimension, suitable for a PG-13 forum, and hosted on a third party image hosting site only, (Photobucket, Tinypic, Imageshack, etc.) meaning do not attach an image to your post in this section. Images attached to posts will be removed, as we're conserving as much server space as we can for custom content uploads and their one preview attachment in the Community Downloads section. *emphasis added for clarification*
Images that exceed the maximum dimension limit in either width, height, or both will also be deleted, since it seems to be a growing problem. Please resize your pictures accordingly beforehand so you won't have to worry about who deleted them and why. Or, you can use the following code to resize your bigger images appropriately:

(Make sure to delete the asterisks (*) before using it, though, or it won't work. Also, if you don't want "smushed" looking pictures, proportional scaling would definitely help instead of putting in exactly number above. For more info, please refer to the Post #2/Reply #1 below.)
Though it is a nice trick to do, we would prefer that you share the direct links to pictures that are bigger than the maximum size, so long as you do not wrap image tags around hosted pictures that are larger than the forum's set limit, unless the above code is used.
If your images have been removed due to them exceeding limits before, keep in mind, you are still very welcome to repost them to fit within the dimension requirements. Just make sure not to repost the exact same-sized image as before, since it will just end up being deleted altogether again. 
- As admirable as another user's pictures can be, and as tempting as it is to simply quote one of their posts with every single one of their pictures included, please refrain from quoting pictures. (Once again, doing that saves those with slow connections loading time.) If you must quote another user's post, please remove all image related links or BB tags from the quote area before posting. If not done, any quoted pictures will be removed, and repeat offenders will be reminded after a certain amount of removed images.
- Please do not start new themed/personal picture threads in this section. If you feel that there should be a new category added, let us know through PM, and we will start the thread off for you.
- Please resist the urge to hotlink pictures directly from other web sites or image accounts without permission... stealing other people's bandwidth without permission is rude, and it will lead to the deletion of your post, plus a warning.
- Try to avoid double/triple/quadruple (or any number of back-to-back) posting if possible, as it is considered a form of site spamming. If you need to add on any additional info to your posts, please use the "Modify" option located in the upper right-hand corner of your posts. From now on, any double posts that are made will be merged together, so don't be too alarmed if your post count drops slightly. Although, if had to be done on too many occasions and you have already been reminded several times, the posts may end up removed altogether.
- Please refrain from dragging any of these threads off topic just to discuss gaming politics/etc... we know some users in this section as a whole have had at the game plenty of times already, but we ask that you leave that to the designated threads in the discussion area. Once again, repeat offenders will be warned.
- Please reserve all "Where did you get/Where can I find" questions for the Sims 3 "Pudding WCIF" section. Another alternative would be to PM the users who have pictures of the items in question that you are looking for. We're requesting that you be sure to put either system to good use instead of taking picture threads off topic.

The Sims 3 / Sims 3 Buzz / Insim's Current Policy on Sims 3 Custom Content (*Please Read*) Updated 16-06-09

As those of you may have noticed by now, it is true that we have finally decided to change our position regarding hosting custom content for Sims 3 on this site. In saying that, the ban on links for other sites hosting Sims 3 content has also been lifted. Feel free to share any sort of content you make in the Sims 3 Downloads section. However, we will NOT allow public links to free Sims 3 Store items that are not hosted by the store itself, just as we have not allowed it for the Sims 2 Store. As ridiculous as the price range is over there, EA is still legally allowed to sell what they've created, and we will not be getting mixed up in illegally sharing their store content. Also, please refrain from posting any sort of WCIF/Request topics here in the discussion area. There will be a WCIF section set up in the future, but we will not be hosting a Sims 3 request section yet until progress for modding the game advances enough for more people to be able to help fulfill requests, and much more be able to actually make the items in question.
